An international conference among inclusive Asatru/Heathen organizations and individuals!
Frith Forge is the space and time on an international level to build alliances, understanding, and friendships among us instead of compartmentalizing further in an industrialized world. Let's learn from each other with respect and fellowship to forge frith among us. Together we can enjoy this opportunity to discuss inclusion in religion and to promote cultural, religious, and educational exchange.
Each organization that will be represented at this conference will have featured presentation time. All attendees are invited to submit paper summaries of presentations they would like to give to IREP@thetroth.org. We encourage vendors/organizations to set up a table. There will be time for lectures, group discussion, workshops, ritual, and more!
Early arrivals may join us for unstructured meet and greet time starting October 5th. The conference will officially start at 1pm on October 6th, and end by 11am on October 8th.
What would you like out of this conference? Let us know so we can work together to make it happen! Join and share our public Facebook event page: www.facebook.com/events/397322450646795

We will address racism, nationalism, sexism, ableism, homophobia and other LGBTQIA+ concerns, and any other form of prejudice in Heathenry/Asatru. We...more
The idea that the earth has had many epochs is shared by a number of cultures and is supported by geology; however, geologic ages are usually millions of years long. Today, Climate Change threatens to upset the balance between the productive and destructive forces and bring on Ragnarök before its time. I believe that heathen tradition offers a mythology and values that can help us both to conceptualize this struggle and to organize to fight the forces that would destroy our world. By Diana Paxson
The Role of Women in Traditional Religions by Melodi Grundy
This talk will highlight the various roles that women had (or are speculated to have had) from the Stone Age until the early years of the Christianity, along with some Norse/Germanic specific information. The main focus will be on European and some Middle Eastern religions; the idea is to provide an overview of how women (and men’s) roles in traditional religious practices tend to change along when both technology and the tasks of daily life also change. While not intended to be a comprehensive...more
